The repair
What is paintless dent repair?
It's a way to remove dents by reshaping the metal back to its original form, working from behind the panel with steel rods or pulling from the front with glue tabs. Nothing is filled, sanded or repainted, so the factory paint stays on the car.
Can my dent be fixed without painting?
If the paint isn't cracked or chipped, usually yes. What limits it is how sharp the dent is, whether the metal is stretched, and whether we can reach it. Text us photos and we'll tell you honestly before you come in.
Will the repair hurt my paint?
No. Factory paint flexes more than people expect, and paintless repair moves the metal underneath it slowly. If the paint was already cracked at the dent, paintless repair isn't the right fix, and we'll say so before starting.
How long does it take?
A single door ding usually takes an hour or two. Several dents can take most of a day. Hail damage ranges from a day to several days, depending on how many panels were hit and whether trim or the headliner has to come out. You'll get a timeline before we start.
Can aluminum panels be repaired?
Yes, aluminum hoods, fenders and truck bodies can be repaired with paintless methods. Aluminum is stiffer and less forgiving than steel, so it takes longer and costs more than the same dent in a steel panel. Tell us the vehicle when you book.
Do you fix dents in plastic bumpers?
Bumper covers are plastic, and paintless dent repair is a metal technique. Some plastic dents pop back out with heat. Scuffs, cracks and torn tabs are body-shop work.
Hail and insurance
Does insurance cover hail damage?
If you carry comprehensive coverage, hail is usually covered after your deductible. Liability-only policies don't cover it. Your policy is what decides, so check it or call your agent.
Can my insurance company make me use their shop?
Not on a Texas auto policy. Texas Insurance Code § 1952.301 bars insurers from limiting your choice of repair facility. They can recommend a shop; you choose.
Will a hail claim raise my rates?
Hail is a comprehensive claim, not an at-fault accident, but how an insurer treats it at renewal depends on the company and your claim history. Your agent can tell you before you file.
What if the adjuster's estimate missed damage?
It happens, especially with shallow hail dents that don't show in daylight. We inspect under line lighting and send the insurer a supplement listing the extra panels and dent counts.
Pricing and booking
How much does it cost?
It depends on the dent's size and depth, where it is on the panel, whether the panel is aluminum, and how hard it is to reach. A small door ding costs a lot less than a creased quarter panel. We give you a price before we start, and photo estimates are free.
Can I get an estimate from photos?
Yes. Text (915) 474-6669 three photos: one straight on, one from a low angle so we can see the reflection across the dent, and one from a few feet back so we can see where it is on the panel.
Is my online booking confirmed right away?
Online booking holds the time and sends you a copy of the request. We call or text to confirm, and you get a confirmation email once we do.
Do you come to me?
Both. Single dents and dings can often be done where the car is parked. Hail jobs and bigger repairs are done at the shop, where the lighting is controlled. Tell us what you need when you book.
What areas do you serve?
El Paso, Fort Bliss, Horizon City, Socorro, Sunland Park & Santa Teresa, Las Cruces, and the rest of the El Paso metro.
